The quote we have at the top of our blog by Martin Luther is extremely accurate in my case. I would like to add to these thoughts by saying that somehow, music has the ability to change the mood of your soul in order to connect you to God. David was a man who loved music as much as (but probably more than) I do. It has the ability to make you feel gloomy and agitated, in which case we want the music off, or give you a feeling you can't quite describe: The sort of feeling where you get shivers running down your back as you listen. It has the ability to take you back in time, or to other worlds. David in all his Psalms had these sorts of Psalms. That is what is so amazing about music. You can do more with music than you can with words, but there is a sort of harmony between the two that give the words power, and give the notes meaning.
The music of the Liberian Gospel Acapella has the ability to make you jump for joy. I recently recieved a Christmas album from a good friend of mine, James Sloan, part of this talented group
